The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Warriors Table

Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of heroes, and a thrilling plot including celestial beings, fiends, and dark forces expanding in power within the urban setting.

Warning: Spoilers for the third episode of the new season are included.

The Warrior Group Introduced

The third episode finished on a major cliffhanger and introduced the premier party of heroes who will split off from the central cast to embark on their separate journey, apart from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Considering a large ensemble, it was evident from the outset that having everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

Hence, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Questers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for players who enjoy a typically action-packed fight-heavy gameplay experience where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might seem out of place, but the actions of the third episode make it clear why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

First, the team has a clear idea where to go next after a intense first encounter with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose demise kicked off the story’s plot—used the foes for his personal gain, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking Thimble, and swiping all the magical artifacts to sell off.

The antagonist then cleared his debts and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, desires retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the northern area and advises that it is a hostile environment.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having defied his family’s wishes to eliminate the target and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their reputation as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the party access locations they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character pledged a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are sought by the authorities that govern the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and The cleric defied the influential house and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This results in them no alternative but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

Based on episode three’s follow-up content, we discover that the Soldiers table will be absent next week, leaving the other eight players to round up the Explorers and Schemers parties.

Viewers can look forward to finding out which characters will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on October 24.
