The City of Angels experienced widespread celebrations after the Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-match World Series title. Fans worldwide united with Angelenos in jubilation, marking the initial time in 25 years that a team has secured consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Massive Turnout
Los Angeles area events featured a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Social media videos show countless of Angelenos flooding downtown streets, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the crowds, hoisting the championship trophy proudly.
“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to do this,” the star player stated through an interpreter.
The procession path concluded at the stadium, where the players walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and the artist cruising a light blue classic car around the stadium’s outfield.
